A local legend in Santa Barbara, Demi is one of our favorite people to unwind with after a day of surfing Rincon or creating stunning art in her beachside studio. She’s the epitome of a Cali Creator.
But first, some details so today’s spotlight isn’t casting any shadows on our subject.
Born and raised in Santa Barbara, CA, Demi is a self-taught multidisciplinary artist working in painting, videography, poetry, photography, collage, digital works, and sculptures. She has been creating consistently for nearly 10 years with no plan of stopping.
When Demi’s not in the ocean surfing, she spends most of her time in her downtown studio painting and creating. A natural born creative, she has created a community of artists and creatives in Santa Barbara, giving a space & supportive community to artists looking to develop and hone their craft.
Demi has been shown in dozens of group and solo shows throughout California and has had work publicly displayed in Tokyo, Japan. Her works reside across the country, belonging to other artists, musicians, designers, and collectors.
Her journey is a blend of surf and art, two passions that take her around the blog. Whether she’s catching waves in Baja or setting up an art show in Tokyo, she brings a piece of California with her everywhere she goes. And, of course, she shares laughs and Cali Squeezes with friends along the way. Her California state of mind reflects her laid-back, authentic approach.
